Day 8 – God’s Not Impressed With Titles ~ Julie Earl

Galatians 2:6-9

As for those who were held in high esteem—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism—they added nothing to my message. On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised,[a] just as Peter had been to the circumcised.[b] For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Cephas[c] and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. [Bold lettering mine.]

Julie’s Nugget

Aren’t you glad God is just as impressed with you as He is with Billy Graham? Titles or status mean nothing to Him, and He doesn’t show favoritism. He simply asks us to receive the grace (strength, power, anointing) for the tasks He asks us to do every day – and go for it. It’s as simple as that.

We don’t have to elevate ourselves or make a name for ourselves because it isn’t about us. It is about honoring Him! When people see the grace we are walking in, and that we are fulfilling God’s purpose for our life every day, they will give us the right hand of fellowship just like they did for Paul. Until that happens, fix your eyes on Jesus and say yes to His every prompting. God will take care of the rest!

Many blessings – you are so very important to the Father!
