Day 12 – Living a Life of Faith ~ Dane Earl

Galatians 2:20-21

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Don’t get me wrong, I am by no means perfect. I’m actually fasting right now because I want more breakthrough in certain areas of my life. But God doesn’t say He will only use us if we’re perfect. He wants to use all of us every day right where we are at.

Paul said in verse 20, “I live by faith in the Son of God.” To live by faith means that our every thought, word and action say “yes” to God no matter what He asks us to do or say – no matter how scary it looks.

Here are three things I keep in mind when living by faith and praying for people wherever I go:

My reputation isn’t above what God tells me to do. I have to realize that what other people think of me is not as important as what God thinks of me. When we stand in heaven, is God going to say, “Well done. People think you are really awesome!” Or is He going to say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”?

It’s not my responsibility how people receive. It will not help me if I factor in how I “think” other people will receive what I am saying. The key is to just be obedient to what the Lord is telling us. We are in charge of getting the message to someone – not how they will receive it.

That being said, we want to act with as much grace and honor as possible when we are giving that message.

My obedience is key. The Bible says to “Go” and make disciples of all nations. This requires us to actually be obedient to what he is telling us – and go for it. God values our obedience because it is a fruit of our love for Him and our trust in Him. A life of living by faith is simply saying “yes” to God in everything we do!

You guys rock!
