God Brings Joy in the Midst of Loneliness ~ by Dane Earl

This is Nicole, I met her yesterday. I walked up to her table in one of the cafeterias at University of North Texas. As we began talking, I felt the Father’s love for her. Her personality is super bubbly and joyful, but she said that it was so cool that I came up to her because she had been feeling depressed lately, and us meeting lifted her spirit.

She expressed confusion about what direction to go with her life. I felt like Holy Spirit was saying that she loves kids and …even that she may end up doing things with missions. She said that makes perfect sense.

Then I asked Nicole if she had something going on with her brother because I felt God’s love for him. She began to cry as she told me that her brother just left for 3 years because he is in the military. This is very hard for her because he is the one she is closest to, and so she was feeling lonely.

At the end of lunch we prayed together for God’s joy and peace in her life. God can bring joy in any situation as we let His presence fill our lives!
