God is Passionate About You ~ by Julie Earl
Do you remember what it was like when you first fell in love? You couldn’t take your eyes off that person, and all you could think about was how to please them and express your love in ways that would make them feel treasured. You were crazy about them and passionately in love, and it showed in everything you did.
Did you know that God is crazy about you, and passionately in love with you? The Bible says your name is written in the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16), He knows how many hairs are on your head (Luke 10:30) and the thoughts He has for you are too numerous to count (Psalm 40:5).
His love isn’t just a passing whim. God’s love for you is eternal. Jeremiah 31:3 says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Even if you reject His forgiveness and spend eternity apart from the benefits of His love and presence, He will still feel love for you for all eternity, and He will grieve your loss. “If we disown him, he will disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself” (2 Timothy 2:12-13). If you don’t receive His forgiveness and make Him your Lord, He won’t be able to make you His child, but He will still faithfully love you because He can’t disown the fact that He is LOVE.
Dane and I are still on the front end of getting this website rolling, but please come back regularly because our goal is to have articles and video testimonies of how God’s love radically changes people’s lives. (And please pray for other volunteers who are good with video techy stuff!) We have heard many, many stories of God’s transforming love, and we want to share those with you.
In the meantime, I have a chapter in my book No More No called “Fall in Love with Jesus.” I believe that is the most important concept in all of Christianity. When we fall in love with Jesus, everything we do stems from that love relationship. We find victory over sin, freedom from depression, hope for the future and peace that passes understanding. Loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (see Mark 12:30), and fixing our eyes on Jesus by delighting in His presence is what transforms us from the inside out! May you continue to discover the wonders of His love every day!
God bless you!
