Jesus at the Post Office ~ by Julie Earl

I felt prompted to stop by the post office and check the Crazy About You Ministries post office box. I was hoping there was a surprise check, but the box was empty, so I asked the Holy Spirit, “Is there someone here you want to bless through me?”

Right after I prayed that, a man in his forties checked his post office box and started to head toward the door. The Holy Spirit highlighted him and impressed on me His love for this man.

“I don’t mean to interrupt you,” I said, “but when you walked in I sensed how much the Lord loves you and that He wanted to reach out again with His love in the midst of all that is swirling around you. He wants you to know once again that He is there for you and how much you mean to Him.”

“Thank you,” he said. “One of my close friends just died so that must be what you are sensing.”

I was able to hear his heart and talk with him for about 20 minutes. He has Christian parents, but he struggled spiritually. He said these past two months he has been seeking the Lord more. I was able to gently answer some of his questions, and encourage him to pull his Bible back out. The Lord shared some vision for his future, and then he allowed me to pray for him there in the lobby of the post office. God has great things in store for this awesome man!

My trip to the post office didn’t produce material fruit in the form of a check, but it did produce spiritual fruit that will last for eternity. God aches to work through all His children all the time as we simply slow down and listen!
